Sumary of Marina issues sailing advisory on Taiwan’s Changhua channel:
- The Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) said overseas shipping companies and shipowners must comply with the new sailing direction at the Changhua wind farm channel for safety and efficiency.
- Marina Vice Admiral Robert Empedrad issued Marina Advisory 2021-38 informing all overseas shipping companies, shipowners, and concerned maritime entities of the new sailing direction for Changhua wind farm channel from the Maritime and Port Bureau (MPB) of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication of Republic of China (Taiwan).
- Marina said the vessels entering and exiting the Changhua wind farm tunnel in the Taiwan Strait for navigation must report to the Changhua vessel traffic service (VTS) of the MPB.
- The Advisory was issued to all shipowners, bareboat charterers, ship operators, ship managers, shipmasters, officers and crew of Philippine registered overseas ships, licensed manning agencies, recognized organizations, and concerned government agencies.
