- In testimony before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee on Wednesday, Dr Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said the Delta variant accounts for 83 percent of COVID-19 cases.
- In the study, which has not been peer-reviewed, blood samples from patients vaccinated the three approved shots were tested against the variant.
