Less movement and more calories than I can actually burn–this is becoming my everyday story since I started working from home.
Frankly, I think the worst blow for me in this pandemic is that my gym is closed. My gym for me is the one place where I feel like me–and it is no longer a part of my daily routine. When I tried to make my peace with it by running in the neighbourhood park, that’s when the lockdown happened. Can you beat that?
But something needs to be done, right? Of course, I can’t do weight training without going to the gym, but there are a lot of things that I can do with the “equipment” I have at home.Exercising is important to clear your mind and beat that anxiety during this lockdown. Image courtesy: Shutterstock
So, this is what I did…
I did biceps curl with a water bottle I can’t stop raving about this hack. I mean this is so much better than what I used to do at the gym. And the best part is that I don’t need to buy dumb-bells to to workout at home. I can just use old plastic bottles. Since I am a cola buff, regrettably so, I have these bottles in all shapes and sizes. So, jackpot!
