- THE Commission on Human Rights (CHR) expressed support for a measure in the House of Representatives, which seeks to protect the mental well-being of students enrolled in state universities and colleges (SUCs).
- The House approved the proposed SUCs Mental Health Service Act or House Bill 0284 on second reading during last week’s plenary session.

- De Guia said the bill will help prepare faculty members and other nonteaching personnel in creating safe spaces conducive to learning.
